Long day at Bunbury for the babies yesterday, leaving home at 5:30am and not returning until 10:30pm 🫩

Both kids handled the day extremely well and received some lovely comments from both judges and other exhibitors.

Puppies are over 6 weeks old now and everyone's personality is shining through thick and fast!

The kids have been wormed, vaccinated and microchipped, with BAER testing to be completed in the next few days.

Taking more advantage of the dry weather, the puppies love playing outside in the large dog enclosure.

Taking advantage of the sun and warmer weather today, the puppies ventured back outside this afternoon.

This time they got to play with Kiera, who just loves playing with her grandkids. Such a good Nana 😍

Finally some good weather to enjoy the outdoors.
Puppies got to spend some time out on the grass, exploring new sights, sounds and textures, helping them to build confidence and adaptability.

Safe to say they are all fast asleep after exercising both their mental stimulation and physical development, burning off some energy.

🧸⚽️🧩 Puppy Enrichment Time 🧩⚽️🧸

Harmony and Fudge babies are now 5 weeks old (where has the time gone!)

❄️ Due to the brisk winter air, it has simply been too cold for the puppies to play in their outside area. So I have moved the outside play area indoors, unfortunately they miss out on the swing but they seem pretty happy with the set up.
Hopefully we get some sunny winter days, so we can venture outside.

πŸ— The kids are starting to enjoy their raw meaty bones (chicken necks, chicken wings), generally eating 1kg of minced chicken frames, 250g veggies, 250g ricotta cheese or yoghurt, with extra additives per meal between everyone, along with goats milk.

🚽 Toilet training seems to have paid off as they gravitate towards the grassed/kitty litter tray.

🧩 It's important for puppies to have an enrichment play area as it physically reshapes their growing brain, helps boosts confidence and provides a safe outlet for natural instincts. Without this type of set up, puppies can easily become bored which leads to destructive behaviour, stress and anxiety later in life.

We have officially hit the halfway mark (4 weeks)

Puppies weren't overally impressed with being wormed tonight, but made up for it with a yummy dinner, goats milk and cuddles with Harmony
