Why not try some HTA for your pet's arthritis?
Healing Touch was first used on humans and developed by Janet Mentgen in the 1980s. People use touch therapy to help relieve anxiety and stress, help wounds heal faster, improve immune system function, reduce pain, help reduce nausea, fatigue and other side effects of chemotherapy, improve symptoms of chronic conditions like fibromyalgia and lupus and for a better sleep.
Many people report that touch therapy helps them feel calmer and more relaxed.
Touch therapy also shows some promise for helping people with terminal illness feel more at peace with the approaching end of life.
Then in 1989, Carol Komitor developed Healing Touch for Animals. She began her healing career in massage and energy therapy at the Colorado School of Healing Arts in 1989. Carol advanced into energy therapy training through Healing Touch Program™ and witnessed the powerful, often dramatic, effects of energy therapy through her human clientele.
Carol recognised the body’s physiological response to energy therapy. Carol developed an energy therapy program specific to animals when she discovered how people did not understand the differences of the energy system between humans and animals.
We can’t ask an animal how a session feels for them but we do know from humans what their responses are. We can only assume it has similar experiences for an animal and we can notice this by the calmness and stillness a session brings to an animal.
