🚧 Exciting updates are happening at the Diesel & Blue Dog Retreat!

This weekend we installed our top-of-the-range, high-tech camera system throughout the retreat and this is just the beginning of the technology that will be in place by the time we hard launch in August.

With two-way communication capabilities, real-time monitoring and instant alerts set up for every suite, our team will have full access to monitor and communicate at all times via both office displays and mobile devices.

Providing a safe, secure and comfortable experience for every guest is our priority and we're investing in the very best systems to make that happen!

This week we had our first confirmed case of kennel cough for the season. Thankfully, the pawrent recognised the symptoms early, kept their dawg home and notified us immediately, helping us minimise the risk to other dogs in our care.

Just like the flu in humans, kennel cough is highly contagious and can still occur even when your dog is fully vaccinated. Vaccination is incredibly important and helps reduce the severity and spread of illness, but it does not guarantee complete immunity.

If your dog is showing any signs of:
• Coughing or gagging
• A sore or irritated throat
• Sneezing
• Runny nose or eyes
• Lethargy or generally feeling under the weather

Please keep them home from daycare and let our team know as soon as possible.

Puppies and senior dogs can struggle more in cold weather because they're less able to regulate their body temperature. They may need extra warmth, shorter outdoor sessions and a cosy place to rest during winter.

Keep an eye out for shivering, lethargy or reluctance to go outside, as these can be signs your pup is feeling the chill. 🐾
