Shoutout to Hugo who must have learnt alot in his training session last year because he came back to the truffiere this weekend and launched straight into finding truffles by himself. He had a lovely hour sniffing out these treasures. Needless to say, Theo was not particularly impressed at being tied to a tree whilst Hugo had a go at his job.

That tail is always going- even in the third truffiere for the day! Theo and Fergus just love the winter truffle season.

Our 2026 truffle season is almost upon us!

After 20 years of growing truffles and working alongside our remarkable truffle dogs, we're taking things a little slower this season—but we're still looking forward to sharing our experience with fellow truffle growers and enthusiasts.

🐾 Truffle Dog Services
We have limited weekend availability for truffle dog services throughout the season. Whether you'd like regular visits to your truffière, a second reliable and experienced nose to support your own dog's finds, or help uncovering those elusive first truffles, we can help. Our years of experience in growing and harvesting truffles can be equally valuable for newer truffière owners or for experienced growers.

If you're hosting groups on your truffiere, we can provide professional demonstrations and guided truffle hunts—complete with hardworking labradors who love to put on a show finding truffle and calmly posing for a photo.

🐾 Truffle dog training sessions
Interested in introducing your own dog to the world of truffle hunting? We offer private introductory training sessions in our beautiful truffiere, as well as tailored troubleshooting and assessment sessions for more advanced dogs with guidance and demonstrations from our highly experienced dogs.

🍄 Fresh Truffles
We'll also have fresh truffles available to order in small quantities from late June to early August for collection in Oberon.

If you'd like to discuss any of these options, we'd love to hear from you.

Its a wee bit hot on this Australia Day weekend even in Oberon. We're finding some relief in the leafy shade of the truffiere or in the dams!

As we hid from the chilly wind this weekend, we sampled an experimental truffle sourdough baked by Joel at Long arm corner store using our fresh truffle and a sprinkle of dried forest mushroom. So good in truffle cheese toasties or with truffled scrambled eggs or soup and a sneaky warming port. So many options, not enough bread! But plenty of truffle...

With the opening of Long arm corner store in Oberons main street, we are once again stocking our truffle honey and truffle salt. Venture into Joel and Kim's beautiful new store for a coffee and pick up produce from local farms, including our fresh truffle (in season, which it is right now!).
Our truffle honey and salt are just that. Truffle and local honey or salt- no artificial aroma or flavouring, no preservatives. Kim also stocks some of the cheeses that our truffle honey pairs so well with...
