We are a not-for-profit organisation established in 1990 to rescue, treat and rehome dogs. K9 Rescue Group strives to educate the community about responsible dog ownership. We provide a regional service in Western Australia to the Peel, Rockingham, Kwinana and Cockburn areas. At K9 Rescue Group we are passionate about creating an environment where a dog is treated as a rightful and respected member of the community. We have over a hundred volunteers who work tirelessly to successfully rehome around 400 dogs a year, and seek to promote the significant benefits that pet ownership brings to the community.

Meet Tess, our 1yo Kelpie x Staffy mix who’s on the hunt for… you guessed it, an active home!

This girl is absolutely water mad! Whether it’s splashing, paddling or making a soggy mess, Tess is in her element! In fact, she’s made it very clear that a clam shell pool in her new home is non-negotiable 🤣

Tess is full of character, cheekiness and personality, and she’ll certainly keep you entertained! She’s looking for an active family dedicated to continuing her training and socialisation to help her become a well-mannered member of society.

At this stage, Tess isn’t ready to share her home with another dog, but she can continue socialising outside the home through controlled introductions

Sunshine, fresh air and a few furry friends! ☀️🐾

Our rescue dogs enjoyed getting out for a pack walk with our wonderful volunteers, exploring new smells and practising walking calmly alongside other dogs. 💙

We’re hoping to make these outings a regular thing, visiting different places to help build our dogs confidence and introduce K9 Rescue and our dogs to more people in the community!

A big thank you to our volunteers for making these outings possible. If you spot us out and about, give us a wave! 🧡🐾

Just a senior boy trying his best to get adopted 🥺💛

Bernie is nearly eight and has been adopted and returned far too many times. Each time, we explain his needs and the support he requires, but sadly, those needs haven’t always been fully understood.

Our hearts break for him. He deserves a home where he can finally settle, feel safe and be loved, with people who understand his needs and are committed to supporting him.

Could you be the family Bernie has been waiting for?🐾💛

Hey, my name’s Rolley, but some call me Rolley Polley! 🐾

I’m a bit of a cheeky bu**er and like doing things I probably shouldn’t… but you only live once, right? 😂

I’m looking for people who can laugh at my antics while helping me learn some better manners. A sense of humour, patience and a little structure will go a long way with me!

I could also share my home with another dog, pending a successful meet and greet. 🐶

Love, Rolley Polley 🐾

🤍 A place to feel safe for Lenny 🤍

Life in the kennels is becoming too much for our sweet Lenny. We’d love to find her a foster or forever home where she can unwind, build confidence and enjoy being someone’s companion.

Lenny has had a difficult journey, including foreign body surgery. With little experience of home life, she needs someone patient who will help her learn the ropes with gentle guidance and a consistent routine.

Her ideal home is quiet, child-free and without other dogs. She needs an experienced carer who is home often and can provide plenty of supervision. Lenny must be crated whenever she is left unsupervised to help keep her safe. Our team will offer support and guidance along the way. 💜

Once Lenny feels safe, her affectionate nature shines through. She loves being near her people and deserves the chance to enjoy cuddles, quiet walks and a comfortable place to relax.
