Some groom for the money. Others groom from the heart, and the money follows the passion.
In all my years working with dogs, I’ve learned that the hardest part of this profession isn’t the grooming. It’s the last appointment.
When a client says, “This will probably be his last groom,” everything changes.
You realize that for years you weren’t just grooming a dog. You were part of that dog’s life. You watched them grow old, earned their trust, and shared their journey with their family.
That’s why I believe every dog we groom becomes a little bit ours too.
Not because we own them, but because we made a promise to help give them the best life possible.
I am blessed to do a profession I absolutely love and I love the interactions not only with the dogs but also their owners, as they have their own personal struggles and I am always happy to have a chat and listen to them as that may be the only outside interaction they have had that day.
Forever I keep their paw prints in my heart.
