A little reminder from your local photographer ๐ธ
Recently Iโve come across instances of watermarked images being screenshotted and shared online without being purchased. While it might seem harmless, itโs incredibly disappointing to see.
Every image represents a significant investment of both time and money. Photographers spend thousands of dollars on cameras, lenses, computers, software, insurance, as well as countless hours travelling to events, taking photos, sorting galleries and editing images.
Watermarks are there for a reason. They indicate that an image has not been purchased and is not licensed for use.
Whatโs particularly disappointing is when these images are then used to sell a horse or promote a business.
If you love a photo and would like to use it, please support the photographer who took the photo by purchasing it through the proper channels.
Thank you to everyone who supports photographers and respects the time and effort that goes into taking the images you enjoy ๐ธ๐
