🖤 In Loving Memory of Ros 🖤

It is with heavy hearts that we honour the memory of Ros, a treasured member of our Great Southern Branch family.

To so many of us, most recently, Ros was the iconic voice behind our events. As our PA announcer, her warm greeting, sharp eye for the action, and constant encouragement were the soundtrack to our competition days. Whether cheering on riders or keeping our program running smoothly, she brought so much heart and vitality to our arena.

Ros was also a talented and fierce competitor in her own right. Having spent plenty of time in the saddle showing off the versatility and grit of the Australian Stock Horse, she brought that firsthand experience, deep knowledge, and respect for the sport straight to our club members and participants.

Her passion for the breed and her tireless dedication to our branch touched us all. Both in the ring and behind the microphone, Ros embodied the true spirit of our community—generous, competitive, encouraging, and always ready with a smile.

While the microphone may now be quiet, her voice, spirit, and memory will echo across our grounds for years to come.

On behalf of the committee and members of the Great Southern Branch, we extend our deepest condolences, love, and sympathy to Steve, Jodi, your extended family, loved ones, and many friends.

Rest in peace, dear Ros. You will be deeply missed. 🐎

A handful of our members went along to help out the Mount Barker Campdraft Club Inc. at a busybee over the weekend. Lots of progress and upgrades that mutually benefits our clubs.

A huge thank you to Community Bank Mount Barker, Bendigo Bank 👏

The Mount Barker Campdraft Club Inc. and the ASHS Great Southern Branch are incredibly grateful to have received funding through the Community Bank Mount Barker grant program.

This generous support will go towards much needed upgrades at Frost Oval, including new shade for our cattle and the volunteers in the back yards, as well as other important improvements to our grounds and facilities.

projects like this are only possible thanks to organizations that invest back into their local communities. We sincerely appreciate your support and looking forward to seeing the positive impact these upgrades will have for our members, competitors and volunteers!
