πͺ 220 push-ups today... our second biggest day of The Push-Up Challenge!
Today's target is based on research showing that adults who participate in regular physical activity have a 22% lower risk of developing depression.
It's a powerful reminder that movement isn't just good for our physical health β it can also play an important role in supporting our mental wellbeing.
In the veterinary industry, we know how important this message is. Veterinary professionals often work in emotionally demanding environments, balancing patient care, client support, emergency situations and difficult decisions. Looking after our mental health is just as important as looking after our physical health.
One of the great things about The Push-Up Challenge is that it encourages movement, connection and conversation. Whether it's walking the dog, swimming, gardening, hitting the gym or squeezing in 220 push-ups with your colleagues, regular movement can be one piece of the puzzle when it comes to maintaining good mental health.
Today, our TVH Pawsitive Pushers are tackling all 220 push-ups together, supporting each other through every rep and helping raise awareness for mental health across Australia.
Because just like in veterinary medicine, the small things done consistently can make a big difference over time. πΎπ
