Well… safe to say I’ve spent the last two days surrounded by horses, dust, boots and plenty of talented riders and honestly, I’m not mad about it 🤠🐴📸

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the Aldridge Interschool Equestrian Challenge, capturing a mix of events, and wow, there were some seriously impressive horse-and-rider combinations on display. So much talent, partnership and beautiful riding across the board from some talented young riders.

Just a little note while I sort through the mountain of photos: I always do my best to capture as much as possible, but as a one-woman show covering a big event like this, it’s simply impossible to catch every single rider, round or moment (I wish I could clone myself… sadly not yet 😂).

That said, I captured a lot over the past two days and I’m so excited to start sharing them with you all soon!

This beautiful 16.1hh warmblood mare is the full package — athletic, expressive and impossible to ignore in front of the camera. Her presence speaks for itself.

Sale shoots are something I genuinely love — capturing not just how a horse looks, but the essence of who they are. The little details, the movement, the expression… all of it matters when finding the right match.

🐴 Welcome to Arena Edge Equine Photography 🐴

Over the past year, I’ve received countless enquiries asking if I would cover equine events. My answer has usually been no, simply because most weekends are dedicated to weddings and other photography bookings through my main Isabella M Photography.

However, the enquiries have continued to roll in, and as I’ve started getting back into competing myself, I’ve been reminded just how important competition photos are. We spend countless hours training, travelling, preparing, and chasing goals with our horses. Having those special moments captured is something many of us treasure long after the ribbons have been packed away.

Recently, I’ve been photographing more sale horses, and it has reignited my passion for equine event / sale photography. Combined with the ongoing interest from riders, I’ve decided it’s time to step back into the equine world behind the lens.

While weddings and portrait photography will still remain my primary focus through ** Isabella M Photography⁠**, if the opportunity arises for me to attend horse events and photograph some incredible riders and horses, I’ll absolutely be there.
