I know I’ve been a bit slack with the socials of late, and I’m in the process of getting some of my dogs back up on my page.
I thought I’d start off with this one, my Pinup Logo Gal “Blueberry” (Blue) who recently celebrated her 13th Birthday. 🎂
Ryv and I baked her a cake 🍰 and she enjoyed a puppycino cocktail 🍸
Im posting this also, as we almost lost our beautiful girl this afternoon.
With all this rain, the causeway that flows into our dam has severely eroded.(I didn’t realise the extent of how deep it had become)
Blue is an inside dog, and I let her out to toilet as soon as we got home from school pick up. I was in autopilot mode.
So I just let her out and normally I watch her.
I had to head back out and we couldn’t find blue anywhere. It was just a split second that I caught glimpse of her little head just holding on her nose and eyes just above the water line… she had fallen in a deep trench that had formed with all the heavy rain and nearly drowned.
We were seconds/minutes off losing her.
Obviously I’ll be fixing this dangerous trench and fencing off the Dam too.
It’s a reminder to anyone on property with dams, creeks or pools to be vigilant not only with your kids but your pets too. Pets can drown. 😢
I think we are just so lucky, Blue is fine and she will be getting a pamper in my mobile salon tomorrow 🐾🩷🩵🩷
