The Kind Farm Horse Rescue

The Kind Farm Horse Rescue The Kind Farm Inc. save horses from slaughter, neglect and racing/sporting injury. Horses are healed pysically and emotionally.

We train/retrain with consent, liberty and reward based training. The horses are then adopted into loving forever homes. 🤍🐴 The Kind Farm is a Horse Rescue Network based in Australia. We rescue and rehabilitate horses who have been discarded and displaced and would otherwise be slaughtered. When horses are ready for their next loving chapter they are re-homed in to loving fur-ever adoption homes.

Comet, Sox, Peppermint, Sunny and Prince Caspian enjoying their abundance of hay.
Most horses thrive when they have access to an endless supply of grassy hay. Aside from the health benefits, this also brings food security and harmony to the herd. When they know there's enough food they don't need to compete. This is especially important and rainy weather where so many horses can share the shelters in harmony. Thanks for everyone who supports the horses and makes this supply of Hay possible. 🙏 by feeding as close to possible as what Mother Nature intended, the horses are happy, healthy (considering their short and long term health)and it's economical.

Thanks Thor and friends for your beautiful company as i shovelled the 10th Ute full of gravel to help cover mud.
I love how curious and comfortable the horses are. They stayed well beyond realising this was not a hay/food run.
There's something that draws many of us to horses ... and horses to humans. My intention is to give the horses what they may be seeking in humans in the most beautiful, insightful and empowering way.

Sunny and Prince Caspian playing - it's so lovely to see horses playing especially horses who previously weren't very playful. I don't see it very often though I am told Prince Caspian gets everyone in his paddock playing - Sox,,Peppermint, Comet and Sunny

Beautiful Tara calm and wonderful for her hoof trim today. Tara has been with us for a few years now and was previously a racing horse and she came in not so happy. It's been wonderful too see her learn to trust and settle in and feel at home in her own beautiful body.

We had such a fun day yesterday helping Ulysses become confident enough to lift his feet and have a little file down on his hooves.
Arthur then surprised us with his brave, letting us trim his back feet normally. Usually, we have a unique process of trimming that has got him through, but this was not only letting us get him better hoof care it was showing how safe he feels.
It took us three years to get to Arthur's back feet due to him being traumatized by humans - he would panic and kick. Of course we didn't put Arthur in this position and we found a creative gentle way to do his hooves..
Ulysses on the other hand, it took about two weeks to make this progress.
The main factor in the time difference is the trauma that Arthur had received from humans.
Non-traumatized horses are very harmonious and obliging.
I'm so proud of both of these horses and so grateful to work with someone with such an insightful and gentle approach. Thanks, Alani🙏 and thanks to Billie 🐴 and Olivia for helping Ulysses become more confident and feel more loved over the last few weeks.

A little update about beautiful Ulysses and our quest to get him confident to have his overgrown hoof trimmed 🐴💜

PS Id you haven't already subscribed to our YouTube channel, it would be a huge help because as soon as we have 1000 followers, we can start to raise funds for the horses on YouTube.

🐴 A simple word could help a horse like Peppermint. Comment 💚 KINDNESS 💚 if you care.
When Peppermint broke a bone on the racetrack, he was too young, His bones were not strong enough.
Once a valuable horse, sold and flown internationally, he was suddenly worthless. He was supposed to be euthanised.
For many racehorses, an injury can mean the end of everything they know - often their lives. Peppermint was lucky - a kind man rescued him.
Today, Peppermint is safe at Kind Farm Inc Horse Rescue, where he is healing and discovering that life can be about more than racing. He is sweet, curious and has made some good friends. Last night he cantered up for dinner joyously.
His story is proof that kindness changes lives.
If Peppermint's journey touches your heart, comment KINDNESS below. Every comment helps more people see his story.
And if you're able, please consider making a donation to help provide Peppermint and other rescued horses with nutritious feed, expert care, rehabilitation, and the love they deserve.
