💛 R U OK? Day 💛

The veterinary profession can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be emotionally challenging. Today, we're encouraging everyone to check in with the people around them.

A simple "Are you OK?" can help open the door to meaningful conversations and remind someone they are not alone.

Be kind, listen without judgement, and reach out to those who may need support.

💛 World Su***de Prevention Day | September 10 💛

Today is a reminder that mental health matters and that reaching out, checking in, and showing kindness can make a real difference.

In Australia, veterinarians face a significant mental health crisis. Studies and industry organisations report that veterinarians are around four times more likely to die by su***de than the general population, with an average of one veterinarian losing their life to su***de every 12 weeks, equating to approximately 4 to 5 veterinarians each year.

As a veterinary community, we see firsthand the dedication, compassion, and emotional strength it takes to care for animals and support their families. Today, we acknowledge those who may be struggling and remind everyone that help is available.

💛 Be kind.
💛 Check in on your friends, family, and colleagues.
💛 Listen without judgement.
💛 Reach out if you need support.

🌈🐾 Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day | 28 August 🐾🌈

Today, we pause to remember the beloved pets who may no longer walk beside us, but whose pawprints remain forever on our hearts.

Our furry family members give us so much more than companionship. They fill our days with unconditional love, loyalty, comfort, and countless treasured memories. Though their time with us is never long enough, the bond we share with them lasts a lifetime.

On Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, we honour the dogs, cats, horses, and all cherished pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge. We remember the wagging tails, gentle purrs, happy greetings, and quiet moments that brought us so much joy.

While we miss them deeply, we are grateful for every moment, every cuddle, every adventure, and every lesson in love they gave us.

Today, we invite you to share a photo or memory of a special pet who will always hold a place in your heart. ❤️

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. 🌈✨
