Sometimes we look at a dog’s behaviour and think, “Why are you making this so difficult?”

But what if we changed the question?

Your dog isn’t giving you a hard time.
Your dog is having a hard time.

Lunging, barking, destroying things, shutting down, reacting, pacing these behaviours don’t appear out of nowhere. They are often the outward expression of an internal state the dog hasn’t learned how to manage.

And this is where we need to stop focusing only on the behaviour and start understanding what is driving it.

Because we cannot achieve balance in a state of confusion.

First we create understanding.
Then regulation.
Then direction.
And from there, balance becomes possible.

Educate. Understand. Empower.

The next chapter of JBL DPC is starting.

For years, I’ve been passionate about helping people understand their dogs not just teaching commands, but understanding why dogs behave the way they do.

Now we’re taking that philosophy to Instagram.

I’ve just launched the Jacob Leezak Dog Psychology Centre Instagram page, where I’ll be sharing practical dog psychology, rehabilitation insights, owner education, real-life lessons and the things I’ve learned through years of working with dogs.

No gimmicks.
No magic fixes.
No blaming the dog.

Just understanding, communication, consistency and better relationships between humans and dogs.
