It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of one of the Comfy Critters family, Lo**ta at the ripe old age of 16. Lo**ta is one of the inital group of pups that got to enjoy our Comfy Critters treats fresh from the oven. She loved them all and would tell the others they were her treats when they came close.

She will be greatly missed by her fursister Maddie and of course her pet parents, along with everyone that she has touched.

These moments are never easy and although to some they are just an animal to many they are like children, we care for them, love them and give them everything they could ever want. When it comes time to say goodbye it can be very emotional for everyone. Lo**ta will forever be in our hearts and we will all play together when we meet again.

In weather like this it's important to have water available to pets and also native wildlife.

Be like Maddie and dunk your ball in the cool water before giving it to your personal ball thrower.

It is also fine to skip walks too in this heat. Relax in the cool and play some indoor games. Rope tugs or throwing a soft ball are both great for indoors.

Remember if you would not walk on the hot footpath barefoot then why should your dog.
