🖤🤍 UPDATE ON MACY 🤍🖤

She’s home!

Thanks to all of your incredible support, Macy has successfully undergone surgery and is now back home where she belongs. The surgery went well and now our focus is on helping her rest, recover and get back to being the happy playful kitten she is.

I’ve included some photos of what was removed from her stomach. It’s scary to think what could have happened if it had been left there any longer.

My poor girl is looking a little rough after her big day but she’s still as beautiful as ever 🥰

From the bottom of my heart thank you to every single person who donated, shared, commented, and kept Macy in your thoughts. I truly could not have done this without you all. The love and support you’ve shown both Macy and me has been overwhelming and I am beyond grateful.

Thank you for giving my little girl a second chance. 🐾❤️

It’s funny how some habits never change. 💙

As a tiny kitten, Junior would always insist on drinking straight from the tap, and all these years later at 9 years old, he’s still doing exactly the same thing.

No matter how much they grow, there’s always a little piece of the kitten they once were that stays with them forever. 🥹🐾

UPDATE 🤍

Thank you all so much for helping me reach the goal and for helping Macy. The amount of support, kindness, and generosity shown has been absolutely overwhelming in the best way.

This has truly reminded me that there are still so many good people in the world. If we all come together and each do our small part, we can make such a big difference in the lives of animals who need us.

I am beyond grateful and honestly could cry. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, commented, and kept Macy in your thoughts.

You have all become part of Macy’s journey, and I can’t thank you enough. Once she’s out of the vet, I’ll be sure to share plenty of updates and photos with you all. 🐾

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my 7-month-old rescue kitten, Macy.

As many of you know, I dedicate much of my time and resources to rescuing, fostering, and caring for abandoned cats. I never imagined I would be in a position where one of my own rescue babies would need urgent help.

Today, while I was preparing to sterilise a bottle for a neonate kitten currently in my care, Macy did what curious kittens do, she jumped onto the bench to investigate. In a split second, she bit the rubber teat straight off the bottle and swallowed it before I could stop her.

I rushed her to the vet immediately. The veterinary team tried multiple injections to induce vomiting, hoping she would bring it back up, but unfortunately the teat remained lodged in her stomach.

Macy is now in hospital and requires emergency surgery to remove the foreign object before it causes a life-threatening blockage. If the teat passes into her intestines, it could become fatal.

Macy is only 7 months old. She is playful, loving, and has her whole life ahead of her. Watching her in hospital tonight and knowing she needs emergency surgery has been absolutely heartbreaking.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards Macy’s veterinary expenses (included in the photo) If you are unable to donate through this fundraiser but would still like to help, you are welcome to contact Fairfield Road Veterinary Hospital directly and make a payment towards Macy’s account under “Macy – the cat that swallowed the bottle teat.”

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to me.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. Please keep Macy in your prayer’s and thoughts tonight and pray for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.

Love, Sydney Paws Project 🐾🤍

I’m sorry I haven’t been very active lately 🤍

I’ve been busy bottle feeding the baby, caring for the rescues currently in my care, as well as looking after my own 5 cats, so I’ve been trying to prioritise them and spend less time on my phone.

Things have been a little exhausting behind the scenes, but I appreciate everyone’s patience and support so much. I’ll be catching up this week and have lots of stories, updates, and photos to share with you all soon 🐾

From the day we trapped George and brought him home, I never expected him to be such a soft little soul.

George has become so loving in such a short time. All his life he’s had to survive on the streets, fighting every single day just to make it through. He never knew what love, safety or comfort felt like.

Now he’s finally safe, warm, fed and surrounded by love… and he absolutely loves it. ❤️‍🩹

George was never a “mean” cat, he was just misunderstood and trying to survive. Watching him learn to trust, purr, take treats from my hand and come out of his cage has been so special.

He deserves the most beautiful forever home and the kindest humans. I love this boy so much already, and I know he’s going to make the most amazing companion 🐾

Update on Maggie 🤍

Maggie has been doing so amazing and growing so fast, it honestly feels like it happened in the blink of an eye. She’s healthy, playful, her little teeth are growing in and this week we’ll start easing her onto solids 🥰

She is the sweetest little baby and seeing her come this far makes me so emotional. I still can’t understand how someone could dump her and leave her all alone like that.

Look at her now though… safe, loved and thriving ❤️‍🩹

Meet Bunny 🐰🤍

A tiny soul who was left behind in the bushes all alone and confused, wondering why the people she trusted never came back for her. She was out there with no food, no comfort, and no one to keep her safe yet somehow she still had so much love left to give.

The moment I found out where she was I went straight there. I called out softly and before I could even get close, Bunny came running straight toward me. She climbed into the carrier within minutes, like she knew she was finally safe. I took her straight home where she ate a full meal, curled up beside me, and started asking for cuddles almost instantly.

Despite everything she’s been through, Bunny is one of the most affectionate cats I’ve ever met. She follows you around, melts into every pat, and just wants to be loved. It’s heartbreaking knowing such a sweet baby was abandoned when all she ever wanted was comfort and affection.

Now Bunny is safe, warm and waiting for the forever family she truly deserves 🐾

If you’re interested in adopting Bunny, please reach out. Let’s give this beautiful girl the happy ending she’s been waiting for.
