💔 PLEASE HELP GILBERT BREATHE — EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS 🐾

We need your help. A beautiful dog called Gilbert is struggling to breathe, and we desperately want to give him a chance at a better life.

What has happened to Gilbert is heartbreaking. He is suffering from severe breathing difficulties after having his snout wired shut before being dumped.

Yes, you read that correctly. His snout was wired shut.

Let that sink in for a moment. We cannot begin to imagine what this poor boy has endured, but we know he deserves so much better than the suffering he has experienced.

❤️ Now, we need your help to give Gilbert a chance.

Our vets have recommended a CT scan to investigate the exact cause of Gilbert's breathing difficulties and, more importantly, to help determine what can be done to improve his condition.

The estimated cost of this procedure is up to $4,100. For a not-for-profit rescue organisation like Promising Paws, this is a significant and unexpected expense. We work hard to make every dollar count, ensuring that the funds entrusted to us go towards caring for the dogs who need us most.

But Gilbert needs us now.

🍁 Maple is a clever, goofy, happy girl who loves other dogs, cuddles and being part of the action. She may think she’s a teeny-tiny puppy, but she’s actually a big lap dog—with no concept of personal space! 😆

She’s food-motivated, quick to solve puzzles and perfectly crate trained. Maple uses the dog flap like a pro and takes herself outside for toilet breaks. 🌟

She loves fetch, toys, car rides, couch time with cop shows and supervising the kitchen for dropped snacks. 😂Chickens are fine; cattle? Absolutely not—she’d like to speak to the manager! 🐮

This is Rocky 😍 The 11kg bundle of Frenchie fun looking for his forever home! 🏡This playful, affectionate 1-year-old loves a good cuddle, a game of fetch, and keeping his favourite toys close by. He’s also quite the chatterbox when he doesn’t have enough toys to keep him busy! 😆

Rocky is curious about the world and loves sniffing and smelling everything on his adventures. He’s about 95% toilet trained and still has some puppy habits, so he’ll do best with a patient person ready to guide him with kindness and plenty of love. 🧡

Rocky has had BOAS surgery and is ready to enjoy life with his new family. He’d love to be the only pet and needs a home without chickens. In return, he’ll bring snuggles, silly Frenchie sounds, and lots of love to his favourite humans.
