Happy Vet Nurses Day team! 💙

Today is all about you and honestly it should be a public holiday...

You’re the people who can place a catheter in a wriggling patient, calm a panicking owner, juggle three pagers and remember who’s due for meds at 2am, often all at once and usually before your coffee’s gone cold. You turn a hospital full of scared animals into a place where they feel safe and you do it with skill, patience and more heart than any job description could ask for.

You’re also the only people we know who can be sneezed on, peed on, vomited on and expressed on before morning rounds, and still say “who’s a good boy?” with total sincerity. No one blinks at a conversation about poo consistency over lunch, and somehow a shift full of bodily fluids still ends with the whole team in fits of giggles. That’s a special kind of talent .

We see the long shifts, the hard cases, the patients you cry over and the ones you cheer out the door. None of it goes unnoticed. ARH Sydney runs on your hard work, your laughter and passion.

Thank you for everything you do, for our patients, our clients and each other. We’re so lucky to have you.

🐾 Snoopy had a little paw-dicament! 🐾

This gorgeous boy Snoopy came into our Emergency Service after breaking his dew claw. Ouch! 😖

His nail had partially broken right next to the nail bed, so our team got to work removing the loose piece, giving his paw a good clean and popping on a cosy bandage to keep everything protected. 🩹🐾

After a smooth sedation and some-well earned TLC, Snoopy was ready to head home with his dad – and enjoy his bike ride! 💕🚲🐶

Snoopy will need to be a little less adventurous while his nail grows back, although we suspect he may have other ideas! 😂🐾

Wishing this sweet boy a speedy recovery and plenty of treats along the way! ❤️

What a day!

We had a fantastic Saturday at Taronga Zoo for the 2026 ARH Collaborative Care Symposium, bringing our veterinary community together for a day of learning, sharing knowledge and connecting with colleagues in an incredible setting.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our ARH team who helped make the day such a success. We loved seeing so many members of our veterinary community come together and hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.

We're incredibly proud to share that Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) has been recognised with three 2026 Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards in the Veterinary Services category.

🏆 Most Loved Veterinary Service
🏆 Top Value Veterinary Service
🏆 Most Recommended Veterinary Service

What makes this recognition particularly meaningful is that these awards are based on feedback from Australian consumers who have used veterinary services, not an award submission process.

This recognition reflects the dedication, expertise and compassion our teams bring to every patient, client and referring veterinarian interaction, every day.

A sincere thank you to our teams across the ARH network, and to the clients who trust us with the care of their pets.
