This week has been one of the hardest I’ve had in a long time — full of heartbreak and so many tears.
We first got the sad news that Mister had passed. He wasn’t with us very long, but he touched all of our hearts. He was such a strong boy, always trying his best to be the goodest boy during his grooms, even when he was in pain. I never got the chance to take a photo of him, but I’m sending all my love to his family. He will be missed.
Not long after, we found out that our beautiful Jimmy — who’s been coming to see me since I started grooming back in 2017 — isn’t doing well and won’t be with us much longer. Jimmy was an absolute dream. He would howl with excitement the whole time I groomed him, and his mum would always say how happy he got when she told him, “Let’s go see Mikki.” He truly was a happy little man.
Then today, we got the phone call that our sweet old man Fred has passed. Fred had such a big personality and always seemed to love his grooms. He was a favourite among us all, especially Elyza and his presence will be sorely missed at Clips and Snips
Grooming isn’t just a job for me. It’s my passion and my hobby. Every dog that walks through our doors becomes part of our family. And when we lose them, it truly feels like losing one of our own.
