Another great weekend at Bungendore with a full group of 12 enthusiastic riders keen to learn, improve and get the most out of themselves and their horses.

Across the two days, riders focused on the fundamentals — being slow, smooth and correct, building softness, control and confidence before putting everything together through the riding exercises and mechanical cow work.

What stood out most was the effort everyone brought to the clinic. Riders were willing to step outside their comfort zones, focus on the small details and trust the process. As the weekend progressed, the improvement across both horses and riders was clear to see.

Horses became softer and more responsive, while riders gained confidence, consistency and a better understanding of how to communicate effectively with their horses.

What a fantastic weekend at Gundagai, with riders and horses coming together for two days of learning, improvement and good company.

Throughout the clinic, we worked on softness, feel, position and control, with a strong emphasis on keeping things simple, consistent and correct. Whether it was groundwork, horsemanship exercises, mechanical cow work or campdraft training, it was great to see riders willing to slow things down and focus on the process rather than the outcome.

It was great to see horses becoming more relaxed and responsive, while riders developed greater confidence, consistency and feel.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a positive and supportive atmosphere.

A great couple of days at Bungendore working through our plan for Winter – 𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒃𝒐𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒔 & 𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔.🛠️📝❄️

🎯 The focus across the clinic was on softness, feel, accuracy & control… 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏, 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 & 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒊𝒕 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒖𝒑 𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒍𝒚.

We used our Additional Exercises, Mechanical cow program & Bison work for riders to work through changing where they put their hands & feet. 🖐️👣

Plenty of effort put in by everyone, & that’s what made the progress stand out. It’s not always the flashy stuff — it’s the willingness to go back, do the basics properly & stick with it.🔐

A great weekend at Bungendore with a group of 12 riders, including plenty of new faces.

Across the two days, riders focused on the fundamentals — being slow, smooth and correct, building softness, control and confidence before putting everything together through the exercises, mechanical cow program, motorbike sessions and cattle work. ✅

It was fantastic to see the improvement right across the group. As the weekend progressed, riders became more confident and consistent, and horses started to soften, respond and connect as the fundamentals came together.
