Because our treats are dehydrated, they can be broken up easily for positive reward training or placed in your dog's enrichment toys. While studying canine massage and bodywork Virginia's interest grew with subjects which related to canine nutrition and the importance of not only species appropriate meals for dogs but also their dog treats. Virginia started making these dehydrated treats for her Westie Hamish because she wanted to give him treats which were low in fat and sugar and made with fresh natural ingredients. Not only were they perfect as training rewards for Hamish they were also placed in his treat ball when his was home alone. Hamish loved them and so did friends' and family dogs. Virginia started her dog treat business Healthy Hound Treats in 2014.
