Yesterday afternoon we stated to welcome Breeze’s babies.
Not the fairy tale or straightforward whelping we all hope for 🙈 it tested my skills that’s for sure. Pup number 5 unfortunately was dead & not in a position that we could get it out naturally so we finished up with the last 3 via surgery at 10pm. 2 full nights of zero sleep & more to come 🙀
We have 4 Chocolate boys, a Red girl, and a black girl.
Just to test my neonatal skills the 2 last puppies had a reasonable amount of stress by the time we got them out🥲 both are not sucking so I’m tube feeding both every hour. Taz & Barnsey both donated some blood so I can give them plasma too. Doing everything we can😘
Breeze however has been amazing taking to first time motherhood like she’s done it all before 🥰 a beautiful confident mum even though she doesn’t live with us normally. Very happy to have her babies in the middle of our every day life and all the nannies & stick beakers 🤣around her.
