Our sweet Cauliflower 🥦
When he came into care 9 months ago he was scared and quite shut down. He hid from us for weeks, only to briefly show interest in us when he could smell food. There was no way he was going to let us give him daily medication and care, and he would smack us if we even tried to touch his face, ears, or mouth.
Now our old boy sleeps on the couch, waits at the door for us, and meows for attention and cuddles. He is a gorgeous gentle boy who we love dearly.
We have been buttering him up with Churu treats for a couple months now to get him to learn to take food from our hands, hoping to allow us to medicate him easier. After quite a few Churu bribes, Cauliflower now lets us give him his daily Meloxicam directly into his mouth as if he is getting a yummy treat. This is so important in a multi cat household as we must make sure it is only Cauliflower getting 100% of his medication.
We love you sweet boy, and are so happy that you are happy. 🧡❤️
