I just want to say a massive thank you to all my loyal clients who have been patient with me the last couple weeks while I have been sick which has impacted my response time to enquiries or I have had to shift around their booking with me. I am very grateful for every single one of you because without you my business wouldn’t run. I truly love what I do and put so much passion and love into looking after your fur babies.

Well winter is well and truly is here and aren’t we all feeling it!
While we still want our babies to be warm it’s still super important to maintain their coat and grooming needs.

If your dog is a poodle mix, these are breeds who may have a tighter curl and are harder to maintain however it’s very important to continue grooming even during winter to prevent matting. This is the most severe case of matting I have seen and shows just how matting works!

You can brush the top coat however it’s crucial to make sure you’re reaching the skin to prevent matting. We are super flexible to achieve your grooming needs and work around your schedule. Get in touch with us to help maintain your dogs grooming needs.

Here it is once again! The 2026 annual Adelaide Royal Show! Running from September 5th to September 13th! A very exciting time for families all around Adelaide! For those who aren’t aware this is one of my many busy times! Prepping my own dogs for show and helping friends prepare their dogs as well! It also means that I will be closed on the Newfoundland Breed day to go and support this amazing breed!

If you’d like your dog groomed before or around the royal show period now is the time to book! If you’d have held off booking your dog and would like to come say hi, I will be at the show on the 13th of September to answer any questions you may have also! You can also visit the Plush Puppy stand to stock up on your favourite dog grooming products for in between grooms!

Sometimes you need to stop and have a cuddle! This beautiful baby loves her head rubs while she lays down and relaxes during her session.

Foster dogs are a soft spot for us because without the amazing dog rescues I wouldn’t have my beautiful Pixie Dixie Paws. Here is Charlie and Itsy who visited us from Farmdogz Rescue Inc for a complimentary bath and tidy up! Both these boys are just gorgeous and will hopefully find their Furever home. If you are a foster carer with a dog in need or a dog rescue with some babies in need of love please reach out!

Why choose a 1:1 groomer…

Many dogs cope with a normal salon environment. They come and meet new friends and have a great time so what happens to the dogs who…
🐾 Don’t like other dogs
🐾 Don’t like being groomed
🐾 Need a quiet and calm environment
🐾 Have reactivity issues/negative experience with grooming

They still need to be groomed as well!
This is where I offer my Grooming salon.
I work 1:1 which means there are no crates cages or holding facilities. My sessions offer a quiet and calm environment with no excess barking throughout the day.

There are absolutely no other dogs during your dogs grooming session resulting in a positive experience for dogs that need that calm environment.

I have successfully worked with many clients over the years who have dogs who don’t get along with other dogs or have a negative experience with Grooming and whilst they still may not enjoy being groomed, they are at a place where they can be comfortable enough for us to do what we need to without being overly stressed.

What to expect in your puppy session….

A question we frequently get asked is “when should I start my puppies grooming journey?” and the answer to that is as soon as you possibly can.

Grooming comes with new smells, loud noises, a new environment, meeting new people and new textures which can be really scary for a puppy. The sooner you expose your dog to all of these the better. They can grow up learning that grooming is not scary and it’s not going to hurt them and it’s not the end of the world.

In this photo, we are looking at Louie who is learning to stand on the table. It has taken us a few sessions for him to successfully stand during his Grooming and not lay down and fall asleep as we can see in the second photo.

During your Dogs puppy session, not only do they get groomed they also have lots of play and positive reinforcement teaching them that Grooming is not scary and it can be a fun experience. Doing this also builds your Dogs confidence around Grooming.
