Meet MAXINE!
Your DREAM rescue dog. Available for adoption from Pound to Pampered animal rescue Grafton NSW. She is currently in Cessnock area NSW for training & ready to go to her new home asap! Maxine is the perfect family dog! This young staffy/kelpie/border collie mix is just under a year old and is good with cats, dogs, small pets and children. As with all dogs, she should be monitored with small pets but will not go after them while they are in their enclosures or cages. This has been tested with pet birds & pet mice. Maxine is a submissive & loveable dog who will get along with every and ALL dogs and cats. She is a good listener and has been trained by me for basic house manners and skills. She can sit, down, stay in a spot you ask her to, she is crate trained and recall trained. She has had an amazing example dog, my lovely Assistance dog who has helped her navigate through learning how to play & open up to the world.

Maxine unfortunately endured trauma making her nervous with men. She warms up quickly and will not harm anyone, just needs an understanding, patient owner ❤️ She would thrive in almost any household!
Maxine is trained to not run out gates or through doors without being told, but sometimes needs a reminder with a firm "No". She understands what "No" means and will listen right away. She is a beautiful listener making her extremely adaptable to learning new things! ❤️ Maxine needs a loving home with a fenced in yard. She does not dig or try to escape which makes her even more perfect! She needs a walk or adventure daily, she would love a hike or going to the beach with her human. She is an absolute affection sook and CRAVES cuddles and kisses, she will snuggle with her human for hours. She's a beautiful placid dog who deserves the world!
Maxine's only issues are she needs slow introduction to bedding at night time and would benefit being crated next to your bed until her puppy chewing phase has gone. She will not chew things in your sight but gets tempted when you leave or aren't looking. Maxine will grow out of this & needs understanding that she is just a puppy, and needs mental enrichment, a daily walk and toys if she is crated through the day while you aren't home. Maxine being a little nervous will need a gentle owner as she may wet herself when voices are raised or if you get angry with her. ❤️
She is house trained and won't have any accidents unless she is not let out enough through the day
Her favourite things include playing tug or ball, running around with other dogs, snuggling up & getting affection, and chicken necks! She currently eats vita pet puppy food but loves a good chicken bone.
Maxine has been given an adorable (temporary & pet safe) dye job to help her stand out & get adopted!
Her Adoption fee includes standard rescue things such as vet work (desexing, vaccines, microchip) And her training. Please message me to go through the adoption process if you are interested - A good, loving home is a must 🐾🐾
