REBUILDING OUR HISTORY - MAY/JUNE 2026 - Catching up on some exciting news –
A huge congratulations to Debbie Schmidt and Gypsy (Monsimbee Athena’s Gypsy) on gaining her T1, TSD1 and TD2.
To achieve these tracking and track and search qualifications at just over 12 months of age is an outstanding accomplishment and a real credit to the partnership Debbie has built with this very talented young girl.
Many will remember Debbie's previous Monsimbee girl, Monsimbee They Call Me Furi (AZ) RN Track and Search Grand Champion and Tracking Champion. Furi set an incredibly high standard, and it is wonderful to see Gypsy already making her own mark at such a young age.
Congratulations Debbie. We are incredibly proud of what you and Gypsy have achieved together and look forward to following the next chapter of your journey.

REBUILDING OUR HISTORY – FEBRUARY 2026 - LITTER – DARO VON DEN KOSCHIS IGP3 x MONSIMBEE ZARA AZ
As we continue rebuilding the history of our new Monsimbee German Shepherds page, we're sharing some of the litters and milestones that have shaped our breeding program over the past 20+ years.
In February 2026, we welcomed our highly anticipated litter from Daro von den Koschis IGP3 × Monsimbee Zara AZ.
This was a pairing we were incredibly excited about, combining proven international working genetics with the sound temperament, trainability and versatility that remain at the heart of the Monsimbee breeding program.
Daro is without doubt one of the most accomplished stud dogs to have been incorporated into an Australian breeding program. Placing 2nd at the Bundessiegerprüfung (BSP), he also competed at the WUSV World Championship in the same year. His sire, the world-famous Bolle Ja Na Ka, was a two-time BSP winner, while Daro's maternal line includes outstanding dogs such as Troll vom Haus Milinda and Sid vom Haus Pixner, together with proven competition females. His five-generation pedigree features five BSP winners, four WUSV winners, two FCI winners and one Vice-WUSV winner.
Monsimbee Zara is by Police Dog Buster (Monsimbee Mynnchen), with her dam carrying the proven bloodlines of Yaspo vom Haus Kasfeld, Ellute von der Mohnwiese and Pohraniční. Zara is open, social and environmentally strong, with excellent drives, a tremendous work ethic and outstanding trainability. She is a pleasure to train, and she and her brothers are currently preparing to commence trialling later this year.
We are extremely pleased with this litter and look forward to watching these youngsters mature as they begin their journeys in sport, service and family homes.

Welcome to the new home of Monsimbee German Shepherds.

After many months trying to recover our original page, we've made the difficult decision to start again. While it's disappointing to have lost years of photos, memories and almost 5,000 followers, we're excited to begin this new chapter and reconnect with everyone who has supported Monsimbee over the years.

For those who are new to our page, welcome!

For more than 20 years, Karen and Brad have been breeding, training and trialling working-line German Shepherd Dogs. Their dogs have achieved success in IGP, ANKC Obedience and Tracking, earning titles and High in Trial awards at both State and National level.

Monsimbee-bred dogs have gone on to excel in a range of dog sports, serve as Police, Service and Detection Dogs throughout Australia and internationally, and, above all, become valued family companions. Sound temperament, trainability and versatility remain at the heart of the Monsimbee breeding program.

Over the coming weeks we'll be rebuilding our page and sharing featured posts highlighting our dogs, achievements, memorable moments and the history of Monsimbee. We hope you'll enjoy following along as we rebuild our journey.
