Native Fans Co. was created to celebrate the unique wildlife, cultures, and sporting pride of Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. We design premium plush characters inspired by real native animals — each paired with their own cultural or team-inspired fan jersey. Our mission is simple:
connect people to their heritage, t

heir teams, and their region through characters they love. Every design is crafted with authenticity, respect, and storytelling at its heart. And with each release, we aim to support real conservation efforts across our region — helping protect the wildlife that inspires us. This is just the beginning. Native Fans is building something bigger than just plush toys.

We’re creating a collection of characters that represent culture, identity, and where you come from — and we want to do it properly.

For our First Edition release, we’re collaborating with a small number of artists to design authentic cultural jerseys.

This isn’t just about patterns —
it’s about story, meaning, and representation.

✔ Paid concept work
✔ 10% royalty on each jersey sold (based on wholesale value) if selected for production
✔ Full credit as collaborating artist

We’re only selecting a limited number of artists for this first release.

After thousands of reactions, hundreds of comments, and shares, here’s the final tally:

A — 75
B — 112 🏆

D — 63

Design B received the most support and will now be prioritised as we move toward physical plush prototyping 🧸

Meet the first five Native Fans characters 🖤

This started as a father looking for a new way to connect with his daughter through sport — and grew into something designed for kids and families alike.

These are early 3D renders of our upcoming First Edition plush characters.

Each character is being designed to wear interchangeable team jerseys, using sport as the bridge between storytelling, culture, and connection.

We’re currently moving through the prototype phase, working with experienced manufacturers to refine quality, proportions, and playability.

This project is heading to Kickstarter, and those who follow from the start will get early access to the First Edition releases.
