Sunday story time 🤍
You guys will start noticing a new logo popping up across The Dogfluence, across our website, emails, products and packaging.
And there’s a really good reason for that.
If you’ve been here since the beginning, you’ll know our first supplier post-production run came with a few hiccups. At the time, I really tried to take it all as part of building a business, learning as I go and rolling with the punches. But recently, we found out something that hit a little harder than I expected.
Not only had our original Adventure Pouch design been taken by them and used in their own production, they were also selling it with our logo on it. And honestly, I was gutted.
I always knew there was risk in building something from scratch, but it still doesn’t make it any easier when this sort of thing actually happens. And part of what made it sting a little more was our original logo.
I genuinely loved that little generic dog head. To me, it felt like it represented all dogs. Not just my dog. Not just one breed. Not one specific look. Just dogs and this community we’re building around them. But I guess this whole thing taught me why so many brands personalise things a little more and make them uniquely theirs.
So while I have definitely had my little (who am I kidding, massive) meltdown, I also found myself feeling grateful. Grateful we found out. Grateful we moved suppliers. Grateful we’ve now found a supplier that aligns so much better with where we want this brand to go. And grateful that the next generation of the Adventure Pouch is already in the works 🤍
This business stuff is hard and sometimes things don’t go how you planned. But I also know the hard stuff teaches you a lot.
So, new logo, a little more us, a little more protected, a new chapter and we keep moving 🤍
Thank you for backing this little dog mum dream, supporting the lessons, the wins, the hiccups and everything in between 🐾
Much love,
Kayla & Biggie x
