Another Sunday - another cat show. 😅

As my girls are currently busy, I’m only taking Toliy to cat shows at the moment. So we got up early and went to the QFA Fiesta themed cat show yesterday. With Toliy having just moved into the adult class, I don’t know where he currently stands as he still has so much maturing to do.

But he definitely did not disappoint. He competed against 13 other adult cats including two older Russian blue stud boys. What can I say, he does not need to hide.

Toliy has been awarded:

🥇 Best in show under Cheryl Ross (FASA)
🥈 Reserve in show under Debbie Cameron (Cats NSW)
🥈 Reserve in Show under Jo Dennington (FCCQ)

I couldn’t be prouder of my little man and I can’t wait to see how he’ll mature until he’s fully grown. You are a little firecracker my darling.

Oh dear, I have been so slack with posting.

We went to the QICC Magnificat Cat show today in Caboolture. I took Azore and Toliy and both competed in a very strong adult class with 23 entire cats, 3 Russians overall. Toliy just entered the class at his young age of 9 months so he’s still my little baby boy. 🥰

They’ve been judged by Pera Sperduty (ring 1), Rodney MacGregor (ring 2) and Troy Willems (ring 3).

Toliy, my little pocket rocket, who isn’t really little couldn’t be beaten by any of the other russians (including my darling girl Azore) and was best of breed in each ring.

He placed Best in Show (ring 1), 4th in show (ring 2 and 3). He was then awarded best shorthair cat in show (Supreme) under Peta Sperduty.

Azore was awarded Reserve of breed (ring 1 and ring 2) and placed 10th in ring 1.

Thank you to QICC, to the judges and stewards for running a very smooth show and a big thank you and congratulations to all other exhibitors. Shows wouldn’t be the same without having a grand old time and good laugh with you all! 😊🫶

Two of the Czarina Crew has been away with me last weekend in Adelaide for the National Australian Cat Show.

I’ll post photos and results very soon but to say that I’m very proud of my gang is an understatement. The below results are from the Russian Specialty Ring in the show and included 29 Russians. Both kids placed in the top three and it’s an absolute honour to be bringing home another Best Russian Award. Toliy you are just a little fire cracker and my gratitude goes to Mel Gould (Golash Russians), Sharon and Paul Brown (Anou Russians) and Sally Briton (Tyana Russians) for allowing me access to their lines.

Czarina Russians went on a road trip from Brisbane to Armidale about a month ago and I owe not just my babies but also all you an update on how they went. We travelled in a convoy with Jenny from Azureblue Russians and our dear friend and fellow exhibitor Amanda.

To say the least, we’ve had an absolutely incredible time at the show!

With 6 rings plus a highly competitive Russian Specialty ring judged be Anne Harvey, the competition was stiff—facing off against 26 entire cats (including 7 Russians) and a huge lineup of 40 kittens (including 6 Russians).
Our stars truly shone, bringing home a mountain of ribbons and some very special accolades! 🐾✨

Our elegant Azore held her own beautifully in a tough field:

1x Reserve of Breed
2x 3rd Place (Overall Shorthair Entire Class)
3rd Place in the Russian Specialty Ring

I’m so proud of all cats and the wonderful Russian breed community.

It was such a great and relaxed show and so great to catch up with fellow Russian breeders. A massive thank you to the organizers (Armidale and New England Cat Club affiliated with Cats NSW - ACF), judges, and fellow exhibitors for such a memorable event! 💙

What a classic! I couldn’t have captured his cheeky but so lovely temperament any better. 😅

This photo was taken at today’s QFA cat show by Sam Sirle for Toliy’s best in show photo in the shorthair kitten ring. 🥇🏆💙
He also placed 3rd and 4th in a very strong field of about 25 kittens. What a little fire cracker. 🥰

I’ll post results of our weekend away soon but this is too sweet not to share. Azores two beautiful girls have had a blast in Armidale and I was surprised that the show cage was still standing on Sunday late afternoon. 🥰💙

It’s so beautiful to watch the lovely temperament of this young lad. He not only purrs as soon as you lay your eyes on him, he’s also everyone’s best friend - of the kittens but also of all the girls in the house.
