๐ Itโs that time of year when we refresh our list for new adopters and foster carers.
For 2026-27, weโre again looking for the people who truly understand what a schnauzer needs to feel safe, supported and loved.
Every schnauzer who comes into our care arrives with their own story. Some need time to decompress, some need structure and boundaries, and some simply need a patient human who sees past the rough edges. When the right person steps in, these dogs transform โ and itโs one of the most rewarding things youโll ever be part of ๐
Weโre especially hoping to hear from people who can offer:
โ
Breed experience or a willingness to learn their quirks with our guidance
โ
Work from home, or flexible lifestyle and active retirees who are at home more than out
โ
Schnauzerโsafe homes โ fully fenced, secure, with space to explore
โ
Other friendly pets who can model calm behaviour (or a no other dog home)
โ
People who arenโt afraid to put in the work with a dog who isnโt โperfectโ yet
โค๏ธ A caring nature, time, patience and longโterm commitment
For foster carers, weโre also looking for:
โ๏ธFree time to help a dog settle and decompress and manage their needs
โ๏ธA reliable vehicle for vet and/or grooming appointments
โ๏ธA quiet and calm, safe home environment
โ๏ธPreferably no young children and good availability - we often get little notice and need pre-approved homes we can call on.
โบ๏ธ If youโve ever felt that you have the heart, time and stability to help a schnauzer find their feet again, this is your opportunity.
Your home could be the turning point in a dogโs life ๐
