🐾💙 TURBO NEEDS A LITTLE HELP! 💙🐾

Our beautiful boy Turbo has been through quite a bit recently, and we’re hoping our wonderful supporters can help us with one final hurdle! 🥹

Turbo recently underwent surgery to be desexed, but while he was under anaesthetic, our vets also performed fine needle aspirations on some concerning areas in his bladder and removed several suspicious-looking masses.

It was a little more involved than your standard desexing procedure, but ensuring Turbo received the medical care he needed was never a question for us. ❤️

The good news? Turbo has made a full recovery and is now completely healed and doing wonderfully! 🐶💙

And we have even MORE exciting news…

🏡❤️ TURBO HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN ADOPTED BY HIS FOSTER FAMILY! ❤️🏡

What started as a temporary foster home has turned into Turbo’s forever home, and we couldn’t be happier for him!

Due to Turbo’s circumstances, his adoption fee was waived entirely, meaning Shepherds Lantern Rescue received no adoption fee to contribute towards his veterinary expenses. Our priority was ensuring Turbo received the care he needed and could settle into his forever home.

Unfortunately, while Turbo has moved on to his happily ever after, his vet bill hasn’t!

💰 We still have just over $1,500 outstanding for Turbo’s veterinary care, and we’re reaching out to our amazing community for a little help getting this finalised.

As a not-for-profit rescue, every dollar makes a difference. With so many dogs needing our help, outstanding veterinary bills can make it difficult to continue saying yes to the next dog in need.

🐾 Could you spare $5, $10 or even $20 to help Turbo? Our bank account details are attached in a photo 🫶🏽

No donation is too small, and every contribution brings us one step closer to clearing his bill.

If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing Turbo’s story would mean the world to us.

💙 Turbo has found his forever family, his surgery is behind him, and his second chance is complete. Now we just need a little help closing the final chapter of his rescue journey!

With love and thanks,

🐾 The Shepherds Lantern Rescue Team 💙

🐾💕 MEET SHEILA – YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND! 💕

At just 20 months old, beautiful Sheila is a clever, affectionate Border Collie girl searching for her perfect forever home! 🏡❤️

Sheila is an intelligent young lady who has already completed basic puppy obedience classes and knows commands including sit, lay down, stay and outside. She’s eager to learn and has so much love to give!

🌊 Water baby alert! 🌊

If there’s one thing Sheila absolutely LOVES, it’s water! Whether it’s a trip to the beach, a splash in the creek or an adventure with her humans, she’s always ready to dive in!

She also enjoys:
🐾 Playing fetch and chasing her herding ball
🚗 Going on car adventures
❤️ Spending quality time with her humans
🧠 Learning new things and keeping her clever mind busy

🏡 SHEILA’S IDEAL FOREVER HOME

We’re searching for an experienced Border Collie family who understands the needs of this intelligent, active breed.

🐕 A home where she isn’t left outside alone all day
🐕 A family committed to continuing her lead training and recall
🐕 Plenty of physical exercise, mental stimulation and human companionship
🐕 A home without chickens or livestock, as Sheila is reactive towards them
🐕 A house with a secure yard – no apartments or townhouses

Like many young Border Collies, Sheila needs plenty of enrichment and attention. Without it, boredom can lead to destructive behaviours or nuisance barking.

❤️ Sheila has so much potential to be an incredible companion for the right family. She’s smart, loving, adventurous and ready to share her life with someone who will give her the time, training and affection she deserves.

Could you be Sheila’s perfect match? 🥹🐾

📩 Message Shepherds Lantern Rescue to enquire about adopting Sheila!

Please share to help this beautiful girl find her forever family! 🏡💕
