Holy moly, what a journey! πβ€οΈ
The month of June has been hectic. (All round))
For over two weeks, Iβve been caring for a down sheep. There were moments I thought she might give up, but I was determined to be there for her every single step of the way.
It took two whole weeks of intense rehabilitation, having a down sheep is physically and mentally exhausting.
Lifting 35kg of dead weight into a DIY sling every day, doing leg rehab, and nursing her around the clock was tough.
Giving her high-quality feed, and administering vitamins (A, D, E (once) and B Complex (for 6days), also a quick trip to our Sundance Veterinary Services in Mareeba for some Melxoicam.
YESTERDAY, after 14 days of love, care, and nurture away from the flock, I walked outside to find her standing up on all fours! ππ
Sheβs still a little bit wobbly but seeing her standing up yesterday made every single hard day worth it. We still have a bit of a road ahead, but she is a fighter!
Never underestimate the power of not giving up! πͺ Miracles take timeβand a lot of heavy lifting! πβ€οΈ Wobbly, but winning!
The power of not giving up showed me today that anything and everything is possible if you just try. You only fail if you give up, and that was something I was not going to do. πβ¨
Today 3rd of July, Ms Lamby was introduced back to the flock. Let's pray the month of July is a better month. π
