𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐭

Two years ago, I made a significant change to my grooming process. I started conditioning every cat.

Like many cat groomers, I was focused on removing grease. If a cat came in with a greasy coat, stud tail, heavy sebum production or a coat packed with undercoat, my goal was to thoroughly degrease and cleanse the coat. The logic seemed simple: remove the oil and the coat would improve.

However, I started noticing a trend.
Some of the cats I was repeatedly degreasing were coming back just as greasy, if not greasier, than before. I found myself reaching for stronger degreasing methods more often, yet the long-term results weren’t improving.

The coats looked good on the day, but the comeback coats often told a different story.
That observation led me to start asking questions.

Was I focusing too much on removing oil and not enough on understanding why it was there in the first place?

❓ FAQ: Is My Cat Too Old to Start Grooming

Absolutely not!

It's never too late to introduce your cat to grooming.

As cats age, grooming themselves can become more difficult and even painful due to reduced mobility, arthritis, or general senior aches and pains. Many older cats also spend more time sleeping and less time maintaining their coats.

Regular grooming can help:
✔️ Prevent painful mats and tangles
✔️ Remove loose fur and debris
✔️ Keep the coat clean and comfortable
✔️ Support your cat's overall wellbeing

With patience, gentle handling, and positive experiences, cats of any age can learn to enjoy being groomed.
Being a former vet nurse, we specialise in senior cat care.

💕 Every cat deserves to feel comfortable in their own coat, no matter their age.

🐾 Important Payment Update from 1st October 🐾

Due to new legislation, from 1st October businesses will be responsible for merchant fees that are currently covered by customers when using certain cards.

These fees range from around 30 cents to as much as 4% per transaction, depending on the card used. While that may not seem like much, it adds up quickly for a small business.

We'd much rather see that money invested back into our salon through staff wages, training, equipment, and quality products for your cats, rather than paying it to the banks.

Rather than increasing our prices or introducing surcharges for everyone, we'd greatly appreciate payments by Cash, PayID, or EFTPOS Cheque/Savings wherever possible.

Of course, all payment methods will still be available, and we understand that cash isn't always convenient.

Thank you for supporting our small business and helping us continue to provide the best care for your feline family members. ❤️🐱🐾
