On Saturday Mirabel and I decided we needed a girl's day out and went to our local medieval theme park, Kryal Castle for their "Medieval Mutts" dog friendly event. A fun venue and a great day out somewhere a bit different for the doggo.

On the way home we dropped in to the local Bunnings Warehouse Australia to grab a few things.

Obedience school was cancelled this morning due to the heavy rain we've had locally and the unsafe grounds so we made the most of our "day off' and had a cafe lunch in town followed by a walk through the mall, a visit to Bunnings and finally dropped into our favourite Petbarn in Delacombe.

Another weekend = another dog show! On Saturday afternoon we went to beautiful Bendigo for one of their 6 shows (unfortunately real life meant we could only do the one 😞).

Falkor again impressed the judge and was awarded his 4th Best of Breed over Mirabel, putting him over 1/4 of the way towards his Australian Champion title.

Mirabel of course enjoyed her day playing Miss Social Butterfly, she is the least competitive dog I know- she just wants all the loves 😍

Sunday morning we headed to Obedience class where he had a great time, including working on some new tricks. He loves being told he's a very good boy 🥰

On the way home from class we stopped by Petbarn Delacombe (as we do most Sundays!) where Falkor weighed in at 30.5kg and soaked up as many tummy rubs as he could.

On Sunday just past, Mirabel was entered in the Samoyed Club of Victoria's Sprintdog trial at KCC Park in Melbourne. Sprintdog requires the dog to run down a straight, 100m track usually after a fake "lure" (we use plastic bags here!), however the dogs can also do a recall if preferred.

She gained her Novice Sprintdog title late last year and now has some points on the board towards her 2nd title in this sport. Her speed was just under 32kmph.
