Donna's Story:
Dogs have been a part of my life since childhood. I'
ve formed special bonds with many of them over the years and love having them around. My current dogs are:
Fleur, 10 yrs, Papillon, re homed to us at 2 yrs
Pippa & Penny 7yrs, Koolie/LabX sisters have been with us from pups
Having stumbled into the sport of agility some years ago I set about learning how to best train my dogs in the sport and subsequently joined positive training and handling programs along with gaining knowledge in dog fitness and enrichment. In turn this has led to a growing interest in helping others learn to help their pet dogs with improved general behaviour at home and out in the community. I am a professional, experienced & certified dog trainer with Institute of Modern Dog trainers (IMDT)

Ever wish your dog was more cooperative during health care, grooming or vet visits?
Grooming and health care aren’t optional — they’re essential for every dog’s wellbeing.
Reduce the stress and struggles and be prepared for life’s unexpected moments.
Does your dog find things like nail trims, baths, brushing or body handling stressful or are they chillaxed about most things? Either way, there’s always more we can understand and do to build trust, find solutions and prepare for future care needs.
A task that was once tolerated can become difficult after a negative experience, illness, or injury.
Cooperative care should be foundational learning for every puppy family and as our dogs age, care needs change too.
It helps dogs feel more in control and comfortable with essential handling while being safer for all.
Whatever your current experiences, you can help your dog feel safer and more supported along with having increased capacity to participate in their own health care — throughout all life stages.
Message us to enjoy less stress and more cooperation through understanding and building confidence — together.

📣 Our family has grown 🐾🐾😍
I’m thrilled to officially welcome Kip into the family. He’s a Jack Russell X, potentially around 18 months.
We’re already quite smitten with him 💞
He’s an awesome little dog and I hope we can be all that he deserves. I’m excited for our life ahead.
We’ve been so fortunate to do a soft homecoming with a first visit to our home mid week without my dogs here, then individual introductions in neutral environments on different days.
We did this again but all together, before coming home permanently on Saturday.
Kips introduction and welcome into his new family has been very low stress on all, including our chooks and cat.
With family support, careful planning and good management it’s been the most positive transition I could have hoped for.
Welcome to the family Kip 🧚♀️🥰

ALGAL BLOOM ALERT 🚨
Algal blooms have been detected at several local Albany beaches, including Middleton Beach, Emu Point and Cosy Corner.
Algal blooms are not unusual at this time of year, particularly as the weather gets warmer and the easterly winds set in.
What you need to know:
🚫 Avoid contact with an algal bloom if you see it.
🐕 Keep dogs and pets away from affected areas.
⛱️ Choose alternative beaches or activities if a bloom is present.
We're proud to offer PupSkills Complete Puppy program to puppy families who aren't able to attend our usual group format.
Our flexible program means we can meet more families needs and provide the support to fit their situation.
Jeffers is a handsome, energetic, adolescent male and past our 6 month intake age. He's a great pup but with a new baby in the family, Kiana & Zac have their days full.
To best meet their needs they are participating in PupSkills online classes and receive private training sessions.
They'll receive the all important foundations of learning and other program benefits. They also receive individualised management & training sessions that a young family needs for more joy and less challenges.
PupSkills is not about classes but a conversation.
As puppy challenges don't wait for classes, PupSkills families enjoy peace of mind knowing that they can call for professional advice and support at any time throughout their program.
We're excited to have Kiana & Zac, Porter and Jeffers as a part of our PupSkills and wider Every Day Dogs community.

These fabulous families and their pups recently completed their PupSkills Complete Puppy Program, Tuesday evening group.
Over the past 10 weeks they've navigated the joys and struggles of puppyhood and have been preparing for the next developmental stage of adolescence.
We look forward to enjoying their company and continuing to support them as they participate in PupSkills Community and Every Day Dogs programs.

Donna's Story:
With a passion for dogs that started as a young child, over the years I have considered many dogs my best friend. It's been a privilege for me to learn how to become their best friend through learning up to date modern scientific methods. I have learned and continue to learn from wonderful, inspiring local and international trainers.
Whether helping someone connect with their dog in a new way through knowledge & skills training, helping a family prepare for the soon to arrive puppy or gain a better understanding of their puppies developmental, welfare & socialisation needs, it's all a pleasure and a responsibility that I wholeheartedly enjoy.
Training is free from force, fear or coercion. Training to build engagement, trust & team work, games & play with the love of learning together. Skills to develop confidence for both dog and handler. Building for a better life for you and your dog, Every Day.
