A year ago this week TAFE SA helped us find the missing piece of our little family and we're all up in our feels about it.

It's been a year filled with, well, adventures is probably a good word. From finding out what a swimming pool was on her very first day at home, to eating scented candles and bringing decapitated birds inside, life with Daisy (affectionately known as David Jones) isn't glamorous - but it sure is SO FUN.

For all the wacky and wild moments, there are 10x more filled with her relentlessly wagging tail, her big smile and all the light she brings.

She has taught Axel how to be the most patient, caring big brother. She has learnt sooo much in just her first year as a house dog. Her big, amber eyes being the first thing to greet us* in the morning make everything worth it. Actually maybe not the dead birds.

Happy one year Davey. Here's to many, many more 🩵

When our friend Polly came to visit us at Dogs Day Out we thought for a second we were seeing double!

Turns out the optical illusion was her new baby sister, Milly!

What a delight these beautiful, friendly, cheeky ladies were to have in the studio. Two very good girls, two veeery similar faces, twice the amount of personality.

We think Polly and Milly make a pretty fabulous little duo 🩵

POV: you took a chance on the local (kinda weird, slightly over-zealous) pet photographers..

And look what happened.

Two fully booked pop-up's in a row.
A whole bunch of proud pooch parents with new happy snaps to hang on their walls.
Countless nose kisses and ear scratches for VERY good dogs.

What started as a slightly ridiculous idea to take photos of people's dogs has somehow turned into this. And we couldn't be more grateful.

Because Dog Daze only gets to exist because of the people who take a chance on a little local business with big ideas, colourful sets and a frankly unreasonable enthusiasm for dogs.

You're the people who get it. Who love their animals a ridiculous amount. Who let us make a fuss of them, point a camera at them and send you home with something to remember them by.

Soooo, THANK YOU.

For telling your friends.
For bringing your dogs.
For letting us be the weird pet photographers.
