Two races on the weekend of Friday and Saturday 11th & 12th September from The Twins 5B Special and the 600 mile event from Marla, our birds performed well in both races scoring points in both.
The Twins 5B Special saw the winning birds well south of our lofts, we placed 33rd SAHPA in the open result with SA 25 5353 BCPH, this hen also placed 23rd SAHPA Glendambo YBC and is a daughter of Strike Two (sire of 1st SAHPA Glendambo Open 2024) & Bella (SAHPA Bird of the Year and Ace Young Bird, 1st SAHPA Coober Pedy & 3rd SAHPA The Twins Open.
The 600 mile event from Marla saw only 2 birds homing on the day of release, our two hens timed in at 6:35 and 6:57 to place 1st club & 31st & 39th SAHPA in the open event. Our first bird is a g/dtr of 1st SAHPA LDC Alice Springs 2023 and our second bird is a full sister to 1st SAHPA LDC Alice Springs 2023, by the end of day 2 12/16 birds entered were home.
A huge congratulations to our friends in the sport Rambo Yang & Dennis Gao for winning the SAHPA event from Marla timing in at 6:50 pm in the darkness to win, a granddaughter of champion producer 14189 Strawberry Mealy c**k who was bred by Group 1 Lofts and purchased from us as a young bird and has been a super producer for them at the distance events being a son of Goldmine Shiraz and a half brother to the sire of our 1st & 2nd Alice Springs etc, well done guys on a great effort.

Good results for our birds in the Wilcannia Open & Wilcannia Sires Produce events on Sunday 6 September. 3 difficult races in the SAHPA on the weekend and 3 x top 10 prizes achieved. In the Wilcannia Open our young hen 11040 BBPH SA 25 placed 8th in the SAHPA open event against 1092 birds, a daughter of good long distance c**k Monash (brother to 1st Alice Springs for K&K Watson) & Fine Red a top distance stock hen of ours and half sister to our 1st Alice Springs in 2023.
In the Wilcannia Sires event we landed two nestmate brothers together to place 7th & 9th in the event, both grandsons of our 1st Alice Springs 2023, 5550 & 5551 SA 25 BCPCs, being sons of Luke (Hercules x Alice) when paired with Pretty 37(daughter of our former top distance pair Eucla Boy & Pretty 95. Some pleasing results on a tough day.

Super results from our birds from Lyndhurst YBD 484 km on Saturday 29 August. The final Young bird derby race of 2026 again saw some impressive results from our birds, we landed 6 birds together just on 6 hrs and 37 minutes to take Equal 19th(two on same time), 21st, 22nd, 24th & 25th SAHPA against 1335 birds. A big congratulations to our club mates Stan & Gail Roberts for winning the event in the SAHPA.
Our first birds are SA 25 5468 BGRZH, placing 19th backing up a 17th SAHPA from Pimba recently, she is bred from a son of the g/dtr of Leideman pair Viton & Dtr Goed Grijs when paired to a Heremans hen of ours.
Also 19th place was SA 25 5641 B*H, bred by our partner Geoff Jackson, she is a daughter of Lachlan's Last (son Lachlan & Bonnie) when paired with Dynamite Genie 1st SAHPA The Twins 5B Special for G Hamilton & T Fawcett.
21st place went to SA 25 5668 BBPH, bred by our partner Geoff Jackson, she is a full sister to "Princess" 1st SAHPA Marree Sires Produce for us in 2025, bred from a son of Blue Leo & Duchess.
22nd place went to SA 25 8812 B*H, a beautiful hen bred from the son of the Olympic Leo Eijerkamp Pigeons pair Super Slate & DeHavilland who was 16th Marree Sires for us last year, with her dam being super racer and breeder Dorothy 3 x top 10 SAHPA placed for G Hamilton & T Fawcett and daughter of No 1 pair Lachlan & Bonnie.
24th place went to SA 25 5342 B*H, a full sister to runner up SAHPA Bird of the Year in 2024 for us, sire is all G Hamilton lines g/son of the Twins pair with her dam being a daughter of Super Slate & Glory Days.
25th place went to SA 25 5414 DCH, who has raced consistently all season to date, her sire is top producing Heremans c**k Carlo, when paired with Brooke a 3 x SAHPA placed daughter of John & Erin.
Some very pleasing efforts from this top little pack of hens that stuck together.

Breaking News!! Nel Family-SAHPA No 1 pair transfer to Group 1 Lofts. The Nel Family are amongst the premier flyers in the strong SAHPA competition, they are relocating to WA for business reasons and not racing at this point. When we heard this news we did not hesitate in trying to secure their ace breeding pair which we have named "Nico" & "Jeruika" who have been responsible for some of their highest results in the competition over several years.

Alice Springs 2026 a race we always love to race in and fortunately this year we have won it for the 2nd time having won it in 2023. Our winning bird called "Ernabella" SA 24 21882 B*H arriving at 1:09 pm on day 2 1285 km to our loft and winning velocity of 1194 mpm, she won by 7 minutes from a very gallant hen of Hinkler Lofts at Pt Adelaide who placed 2nd and was 3rd in last years event!
Ernabella is from a producing son of Vasile Curea's Ref A&B pair when paired with a daughter of Vasile Curea's 1st SAHPA Coober Pedy. A huge thrill for us and congratulations to all placegetters 48 birds were home at the end of day 2.
We got a 2nd bird "Sapphire" that placed 30th in the open results she arrived at 3:36 pm, bred for us by David & Barbara Cunningham. The sire is bred by Group 1 Lofts "Red Ochre" a full brother to sire of our Alice Springs winner with the dam being from Greg Kakoschke top long distance family.

Super results for our birds in the Glendambo YBC (Young bird championship) on Saturday 22 August, placing 7 birds in the first 30 places in the open results and 9 in the first 36 against 90 owners and 1410 birds.
Our first bird home 7th SAHPA is Lucy SA 25 5431 BBH a daughter of Mister Squiggel 3rd SAHPA SDC Carrieton 250 km in 2025 and her dam is Amanda 11th SAHPA Coober Pedy 5B Special in 2025 726 km in a really tough race.
Our second bird home 10th SAHPA is Lucille SA 25 5419 B*H a full sister to last weeks SAHPA SAD winner from Fowlers Gap, she is a daughter of Sherpa & Brenna.
Our 3rd bird home placing 11th SAHPA is SA 25 5380 BGRZC Silver Knight, he has now scored for a second time previously placing 28th from Bookaloo, he is a son of ace producer Roxy (Angus x Sally) imported Heremans pair when paired with Amber g/dtr of the world famous Eijerkamp Pigeons Leideman Bros pair Viton x Dtr Goed Grijs.
Our other birds also gained 23rd, 24th, 25th, 28th, 34th & 36th.

Breaking News!! Fawcett & Jackson wins 1st SAHPA Fowlers Gap SAD (young bird derby) 486 km on Saturday 15 August. Competing against 78 owners and 1279 birds our BCC SA 25 5333 "Everest" won the prestigious event from Fowlers Gap. He is bred from top pair Sherpa & Brenna, already parents of 5 SAHPA places for us including 1st & 2 x 2nd in 2024 & 2025.
We also finished 17th & 34th in the open result, our 2nd bird "The Mistake" gaining her 2nd SAHPA position of the season after previously being 20th from Yunta 237 km. Always a big thrill to win a top SAHPA race!

A big congratulations to Tsonis Family on taking 16th SAHPA Lyndhurst Open on 7 August against 1930 birds with a young bird bred by us that was donated to a fundraiser sale, George purchased it and had a nice result. A granddaughter of ace race hen Annie 2nd & 12th SAHPA for us and g/dtr of aces Omerta & Goodness. Well done George & Athena. 👏👍
Our won loft went fairly well 41st & 46th in SAHPA open results (19th owner) with a young hen g/dtr of Roxy & Bonnie and a son of Opal 2nd SAHPA Coober Pedy 726 km in 2026, these birds will move onto the YBD in 3 weeks.

Top results from Olary 306 km on Saturday 25 July just on 4.5 hrs we landed 3 birds together to take 6th, 7th and 8th SAHPA SDC open results against 1025 birds. First bird 5477 BCPC scored 5th SAHPA SDC Yunta 3 weeks earlier so another top effort his sire is from G&C McLeod from imported Eijerkamp Van Loon pair with his dam a young hen from last year bred from a son of Proteche and Dynasty when paired with Party Trick 4th SAHPA Terang, incidentally 8th SAHPA 5345 is his full sister
7th SAHPA went to 09124 B*H bred from New Era a top producing son of Miss Jasmine and is all Van Loon with her dam being a daughter of No 1 pair Lachlan and Bonnie
Onto the SAHPA middle distance events this weekend 👍
