Poor miss Winnie is now referred to expert hands!
Wishing her well on her journey!! ππΎ
Not everything works out the way you hope.
Winnie experienced respiratory distress while she was intubated and anesthetised.
Dr Neil immediately aborted her desexing and stabilised her breathing.
A chest Xray was performed.
A definitive diagnosis will need to be completed by a radiology consultant.
The safety of our kids is paramount. This is why we send all our animals to Dr Neil. His significant experience with shelter animals and owned animals, his care towards his patients and his communication makes him a trustworthy partner with our organisation.
The team at Adelaide Pets Alive! want to thank Dr Neil, Gabbie and Lucy for their expertise and care of Winnie and keeping her safe.
Winnie is doing well. She runs around like an F1 car, she climbs the cat tower, and she plays with her toys. Winnie never showed any signs of respiratory compromise β no shortness of breath, no inspiratory or expiratory noise, no wheeze. This was an unexpected event, but she was in safe hands.
Please keep her in your thoughts. We will keep you updated. π
