- Do you have an ABN and public liability insurance?
No. I currently run Nikki’s Leash & Lounge as an informal, neighborly service while building up my local clientele. I do not operate as a registered business with an ABN or public liability insurance, which allows me to offer reliable, personalized care for nearby neighbors in a casual, direct setup.
- Do we meet before the first service?
Yes! I offer a free initial meet-and-greet where I come directly to your home. This gives us a chance to meet, introduce myself to your pets in their own environment, and go over routines, emergency contacts, and specific care instructions before our first scheduled walk or minding service.
- What services do you offer?
I offer flexible options for both dogs and other household pets:
* Dog Walking
* Quick Stretch & Sniff (30 mins)
* Standard Adventure Walk (45 mins)
* Power Walk (60 mins)
* Option for an additional dog from the same home
* Drop-In Visits & Minding
* Single Daily Check-In (30 mins)
* Twice-Daily Holiday Care (2x 30 mins)
* Overnight Stay
* Full Day & Overnight Care (24hr)
Bonus: Complimentary house care (like collecting mail or watering plants) is included with all visits!
- Do you care for pets other than dogs?
Yes! I love caring for cats, birds, and other small household pets during drop-in visits or holiday care.
- What should I provide for the service?
For walks: A secure, well-fitted harness or collar, a sturdy leash, and an ID tag. I provide p**p bags and fresh water!
For minding/stays: Sufficient food, treats, medications (if applicable), and clear care instructions.
- What happens in bad weather?
If there is extreme heat or severe weather, your pet's safety comes first. For walks, I can adjust the timing to cooler parts of the day or substitute the outdoor walk for an energetic indoor visit, play session, and brain games.
- How do I book or pay?
You can reach out via text or message to check availability. Once we complete our free meet-and-greet, booking is super easy, and payments can be made via direct bank transfer or cash.
