🐾 A TOLERATED FOOD IS NOT ALWAYS AN APPROPRIATE FOOD 🐾
One of the biggest misconceptions I see is that if a food shows as "tolerated", it automatically means it should be fed.
Unfortunately, it isn't that simple.
A test result is just one piece of the puzzle.
A dog with pancreatitis may tolerate a food that is too high in fat.
A dog with bladder stones may tolerate a food that isn't appropriate for their condition.
A dog with chronic digestive issues may tolerate a food that doesn't support healing.
A dog with skin disease, yeast overgrowth, arthritis, obesity, kidney disease or other health concerns may require a very different approach.
This is why I don't just look at test results.
I look at the whole dog.

At Salty Paws Australia, testing is only the beginning.
Your results help identify potential triggers, but they don't create the plan.
The plan comes from understanding the dog sitting in front of us.
That's why our Premium Testing includes; a thorough Pet Assessment, a personalised report, nutrition guidance on what to feed (choosing pre-made or let us show you how to simply make barf at home) plus our new educational workbooks that walk you through the recovery process step by step.
We focus on real food, practical changes and helping you understand why recommendations are being made.
Because nutrition isn't about following a list or a general food report. Our goal isn't to hand you a list of foods and send you on your way
It's about understanding the individual dog.
Every dog is different.
Every recovery journey is different.
And every plan should be too.
