The Mussafah Dog Project Individuals dedicated towards welfare of homeless animals in UAE Who are we? Wait, what’s TNR? TNR stands for Trap, Neuter, Return. Why Mussafah? How can I help?

A small, determined group of people on a mission to solve the overpopulation of dogs in Mussafah, using the TNR method. We will be focusing on the male dogs as they recover more quickly from the procedure. It’s the best way to control the problem before it gets completely out of hand. It goes like this:

-Male dogs are trapped humanely.
-They are then neutered at the Pet Oasis veterinary clinic.
-They are placed into a temporary foster home until they’ve recovered.
- After that, they are returned to the safest possible area. Mussafah is an industrial area hemmed in by main roads, which makes it hard for homeless dogs to migrate on their own. It has become a massive breeding ground and the number of dogs is in the hundreds! What kind of dogs are in Mussafah? Normally, the dogs in Mussafah are very afraid of people. They are very street wise and know not to go to dangerous areas. If you see a stray dog in Mussafah, please slow down while driving as they may be frightened and run into oncoming traffic. If you see a dog hit by a car, please notify us immediately so we can help if you’re not able to bring the dog to the vet yourself. Dogs in Mussafah typically migrate to different areas in their pack so it is common to see them in large groups. It is advised that you do not approach the dogs but instead, take a picture, pin the location and send us a message of where you spotted a dog. We can then inform you on whether we recognize them and if they are cared for and supervised by our group. Dogs in Mussafah are mixed breed and typically grow to be medium sized. We need sponsors, volunteers and at times, adoptive families. For more information, drop us a message!

Our gorgeous Golden Retriever girl is looking for a loving foster or forever home! 🏡❤️

At just 9–10 months old, Mirah is everything you would expect from a typical Golden Retriever: sweet, affectionate, playful, and absolutely full of love!

💕 A little about Mirah:

- Female Golden Retriever, approximately 9–10 months old
- Super friendly, affectionate, and loves attention
- Gets along well with other dogs
- Loves cuddles and being around people
- Playful, happy, and full of that wonderful Golden Retriever energy
- Fully vaccinated
- Spaying scheduled in the coming months

Mirah would make a wonderful addition to a loving family. She's still a young girl, so she'll need a family willing to give her the time, attention, exercise, and training she needs as she grows.

❤️‍🩹 KALEB IS STILL WAITING…

Our sweet senior boy Kaleb is still in boarding, waiting for a foster or forever home. 🏡🐾

He has come such a long way from the severely emaciated boy we first rescued. He is now at a healthy weight, looking great and doing really well. ❤️

Kaleb has also started going to daycare and socialising with other dogs, and so far he has been absolutely fine with them. He is a lovely, intelligent Belgian Malinois who absolutely loves training, mental stimulation and following commands.

At around 8–9 years old, this is simply not the age for him to spend months and months in boarding. He deserves a home, a routine and someone to call his own.

An experienced foster home would be amazing. A forever home would be even better. ❤️

🐾❤️ FROM FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE TO LIVING HIS BEST LIFE! MOZZY (SMUDGE) HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME! 🇬🇧🏡❤️

Some happy endings are just extra special, and Mozzy's is one of them! 🥹❤️

Back in April, this tiny boy was found trapped beneath a rock, barely alive and struggling to survive the scorching heat. He was so young that separating him from his mum was heartbreaking, but leaving him there would have meant he wouldn't survive.

His journey was far from easy. At just six weeks old, Mozzy had to undergo major stomach surgery, and there were moments when we genuinely wondered if this little fighter would make it.

But Mozzy had other plans! ❤️🐾

During his recovery in the UAE, Mozzy was incredibly lucky to have two absolutely amazing fosterers who went above and beyond for him. They not only nursed him back to health and helped him grow stronger but also gave him the love, care, socialisation, and exposure he needed to become the confident, happy little boy he is today. They truly did everything right by him, and we couldn't be more grateful! ❤️

Fast forward a few months, and we couldn't be happier to share that our little miracle boy has found the most wonderful forever family! 🥰

Something about Mozzy captured his new mum's heart from the moment she saw him, and she just knew he was meant to be hers.

Today, Mozzy is living his absolute best life in the beautiful UK countryside 🇬🇧, with two furry siblings, two human siblings, and a mum who absolutely adores him! His days are now filled with adventures, endless runs, playtime, cuddles, and so much love.

From a tiny puppy fighting for his life beneath a rock to a happy, healthy boy running freely through the countryside… what an incredible journey! 🥹❤️

This beautiful ending is also a reminder of just how much difference dedicated fosterers can make in a rescue animal's life. ❤️

Mozzy, you beat the odds, little one. Now go live the beautiful life you fought so hard for! 🐾❤️

🐾 LOGAN IS READY FOR A HOME! 🐾

How could we possibly say no to this face? 🥹 Logan came into our care because sometimes you meet a little soul who simply leaves you no choice but to help. ❤️

At just 4 months old, this happy, affectionate boy is already doing amazingly well:

🐾 Potty trained to go outside, with just the occasional excited accident
🐾 Knows sit, wait, bed, come & this way
🐾 Great on the lead
🐾 Loves people and will happily be your affectionate little shadow
🐾 Good with the children he has met so far
🐾 Still building confidence with doorways and stairs
🫐 And apparently… blueberries are the way to his heart!

Logan has had his initial vaccinations and is due for his booster next week.

He is looking for a foster home — or, even better, his FOREVER HOME. 🏡❤️

This little guy has so much potential and is already proving what a lovely family dog he can become.

Frank is the adorable little lone survivor of Phoebe’s puppies, and at almost 8 weeks old, this little guy is ready to start looking for his forever family. 🥹

🐾 Almost 8 weeks old
🐾 Male
🐾 First vaccination done; boosters and remaining vaccines due in the coming weeks
🐾 Extremely cuddly, friendly and affectionate
🐾 A typical goofy, playful puppy
🐾 Expected to grow into a medium to large-sized dog
🐾 Another friendly dog in the home would be beneficial, but is not essential
🐾 Needs someone home for most of the day while he is this young

FRANK’S STORY ❤️

Frank and his mum, Phoebe, were rescued from the streets after finding themselves in a very difficult situation. Sadly, Frank was the only puppy to survive. Now this gorgeous little boy deserves the chance to grow up knowing nothing but love, safety and family.

Please remember, puppies are a big commitment. Frank may be ridiculously cute, but he will need time, patience, training and clear boundaries. Put that work in now, and you’ll have the foundations for an amazing dog for years to come. ❤️

Meet Lemon, our gorgeous 4-month-old boy who is curious, gentle, calm and already showing what a lovely companion he can be. ❤️

🐾 Potty trained, although he may need a little reminding when exploring a new environment
🐾 Knows sit, wait, come & this way — and currently working on bed
🐾 Great on the lead
🐾 Loves cuddles and affection, but is equally happy chilling by himself
🐾 Still building his confidence with lifts
🐾 Good with the children he has met so far
☀️ Absolutely LOVES lounging in the sunshine!

And like any clever puppy, Lemon occasionally likes to test whether commands are actually compulsory… or merely suggestions. 😂

🐾 ROVER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME OR LONG-TERM FOSTER 🐾

Our lovely retired gentleman Rover is looking for a calm, adult-only home where he can enjoy his golden years. 🤍

🏡 Fully house trained
😴 Sleeps through the night
🏠 Can be left alone for a few hours
🚗 Loves car rides
🦮 Great on leash and loves his walks
🛏️ Crate trained
🐱 Okay with cats
❤️ Extremely loyal once he trusts you

Rover becomes very attached to his person and can be possessive of them, so he needs someone who understands the importance of setting clear, consistent boundaries from day one.

He must be the only dog and is best suited to a single person or couple in an adult-only home.

Rover doesn’t ask for much: a peaceful home, his walks, a comfy bed and one person he can devote himself to. ❤️

🏡 Long-term foster needed, but a forever home would be the dream.
