The Mussafah Dog Project

The Mussafah Dog Project Who are we? A small, determined group of people on a mission to solve the overpopulation of dogs in Mussafah, using the TNR method. Wait, what’s TNR?

👉McPet https://www.mcpet.ae/product/mussafah-dog-project-mdp-wish-list/ TNR stands for Trap, Neuter, Return. We will be focusing on the male dogs as they recover more quickly from the procedure. It’s the best way to control the pro

blem before it gets completely out of hand. It goes like this:

-Male dogs are trapped humanely.
-They are then neutered at the Pet Oasis veterinary clinic.
-They are placed into a temporary foster home until they’ve recovered.
- After that, they are returned to the safest possible area. Why Mussafah? Mussafah is an industrial area hemmed in by main roads, which makes it hard for homeless dogs to migrate on their own. It has become a massive breeding ground and the number of dogs is in the hundreds! What kind of dogs are in Mussafah? Normally, the dogs in Mussafah are very afraid of people. They are very street wise and know not to go to dangerous areas. If you see a stray dog in Mussafah, please slow down while driving as they may be frightened and run into oncoming traffic. If you see a dog hit by a car, please notify us immediately so we can help if you’re not able to bring the dog to the vet yourself. Dogs in Mussafah typically migrate to different areas in their pack so it is common to see them in large groups. It is advised that you do not approach the dogs but instead, take a picture, pin the location and send us a message of where you spotted a dog. We can then inform you on whether we recognize them and if they are cared for and supervised by our group. Dogs in Mussafah are mixed breed and typically grow to be medium sized. How can I help? We need sponsors, volunteers and at times, adoptive families. For more information, drop us a message!

✅ Fully vaccinated
✅ Microchipped

Sunny is ready to bring sunshine, laughter, and puppy cuddles to her forever home. ❤️

🐾 Meet Beatles! 🐾

Beatles is a 2–3 year old Terrier mix weighing around 9–10kg, looking for his forever home—or even a foster home.

This happy, playful boy was rescued from a farm and has spent the last two months in boarding, attending daycare and enjoying the company of other dogs. He would thrive in an active home with someone around for most of the day, or with a calm, submissive dog companion. He gets along well with female dogs and submissive males.

As with any dog moving from boarding into a home, Beatles will need a few days to settle into his new environment and some basic training and guidance as he adjusts to home life.

✅ Neutered
✅ Fully vaccinated
✅ Microchipped
✅ Dewormed
✅ Recently had a dental clean

After spending far too long in boarding, Beatles deserves a loving home where he can finally belong.

📩 Please DM us or fill in our questionnaire below and press submit in the end of the questionnaire if you can adopt or foster Beatles. Every share helps!

💕 Happy Tails: Mindy Girl 💕

If there is one dog we never thought we would be able to catch, let alone see happily settled in a home, it was Mindy.

One of the shyest street dogs we have ever rescued, Mindy kept her distance from everyone and trusted no one. But with patience, determination, and a little bit of luck, we were finally able to bring her to safety.

When she first came into our care, she was incredibly thin, little more than skin and bones. Her recovery was a long journey that required time, good food, care, and lots of patience. Slowly but surely, she began to blossom.

Today, Mindy is living the life she always deserved. She has been adopted by a wonderful family who absolutely adore her and have given her the love and security she never knew before. She also has a furry sister whom she loves dearly, and together they make the perfect pair.

Recently, her family took her to the beach, and we could hardly believe the photos and videos we received. This is the same shy little girl who would quietly sit in a corner, hoping not to be noticed. Yet there she was, running through the sand, splashing in the water, and having the time of her life. In fact, she loved it so much that she didn't want to leave!

Watching a dog who once knew only survival now experience joy, adventure, love, and belonging is incredibly special. Seeing her discover the world, trust her people, and enjoy these little moments that so many dogs take for granted brings us more happiness than words can express.

Mindy's story is proof that even the shyest, most fearful dogs can flourish when given patience, understanding, and a chance. We are so proud of how far she has come and so grateful to her wonderful family for opening their hearts and showing her what it means to be loved.

Happy life, sweet Mindy. You were worth every bit of effort, and we couldn't be happier to see you thriving. ❤️🐾

✨ Rick Update ✨

Look at this handsome boy looking for his foster home now! ❤️

Rick has been completely shaved as his fur was severely matted and his skin needed urgent treatment. We're happy to report that he is responding really well, his energy is coming back, and he's finally receiving the love, care, good nutrition, and medical treatment he deserves.

At just 6 months old, Rick is a small, playful, affectionate boy who is great with other dogs and good with children. The vets have cleared him to move into a foster home, and honestly, it breaks our hearts to see such a young puppy spending his days in a kennel.

Rick can go home immediately, either with a foster family or, even better, an adoptive family. His health is improving every day, and all he needs now is a loving place to continue his recovery.

If you're staying in the UAE over the summer and can foster, or if you're looking to adopt, please fill in our questionnaire or send us a message.

Let's help Rick leave the kennel behind and start the happy life he deserves. ❤️

Kindly fill in our questionnaire below and press submit in the end of the questionnaire
